This project is funded through the State of Queensland acting through the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI) as part of the South East Queensland Healthy Waterways Strategy 2007-2012. The DEEDI (nee DPI&F) FarmFLOW project is being delivered under the Healthy Country initiative and provides for investment in industry Farm Management System (FMS) programs, focusing on land and water management.
This project is being implemented as part of the MoU between the Queensland Farmer’s Federation and the Queensland Government to accelerate the delivery of training and extension to facilitate the uptake of Farm Management Systems (FMS).
Key deliverables of the project for dairy include establishment and delivery of the Dairying Better ‘n Better for Tomorrow program to 2 new groups in the Lockyer sub-catchment, and the provision of financial assistance to assist in the accelerated adoption of improved natural resource management practices.
