Young Dairy Network
The Young Dairy Network represents the young dairy farmers in Queensland and Northern New South Wales and is a joint initiative of the Subtropical Dairy Programme and the Queensland Dairyfarmers’ Organisation, and is supported by the NSW Farmers Association, Milk Processing Companies and the Queensland Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation.
The purpose of the Young Dairy Network is to enhance the future viability of the dairy industry through supporting its young people. The membership is typically made up of young innovative farmers who are adopters and seekers of information.
There are six active groups across Queensland and Northern New South Wales each with a local coordinator that works with the local young farmers to deliver social and training activities.
Our networks are driven by young farmers for young farmers
Because the networks are based on young local needs, all efforts are made to deliver activities that are not only relevant and timely but also enjoyable to attend. The Young Dairy Network is a great way to mix with positive people and combine business with pleasure.
The network has a number of projects which assists the delivery of regionally specific tailored activities. Program funding bodies include the Department of Families, Housing, Community and Indigenous Affairs; Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
